Andy began his journey at SoCode in April 2023; he covers IT, Infrastructure & Leadership.

"I recruit for someone's first job in IT, all around Tech support, up to Directors & CIO’s. I love the team here at Socode, we get on really well, and have great plans to expand the desk (and take over the world)!

I enjoy the commercial side of the business- getting out to meet clients and candidates, enjoying lunch or a coffee, and learning about the person and not just the job title."​

What lead you to SoCode?

"After spending many years in management & sales, the SoCode opportunity came at a different time in my career to most, but the ability to autonomously build a market whilst being in charge of my own destiny was too good to turn down. I’m a typical ‘Yorkshire lad’ who’s changing to Norfolk ways one day at a time. "

What do you enjoy about working at SoCode?

"We're very lucky having a great team of people here, we back each other, learn from each other and most importantly enjoy each other’s company."

What advice would you give someone looking to get into recruitment?

"Keep it simple, leave an impression and most importantly build relationships, not just fill jobs."

What inspires you?

"My kids, my dad and the ‘boss’ – Sir Alex Ferguson."

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

"I wanted to be a professional Golfer, and even with a full-time job, 2 young kids and a bad back – I CAN STILL MAKE IT."

Where would we find you outside of work?

"If I'm not getting out run by my 2 amazing children, I will be focusing on a nice pint of Guinness after a game of golf."
