Job description

What’s in it for me?
You’re a mid – senior electronics engineer, looking for genuinely challenging work and an environment to work on technology that can do good in the world. Perhaps you’re interested in working on technology, that must be 100% effective, can never fail, and with that comes some of the biggest technical challenges you may have encountered as an engineer. You like the idea of working in an environment and culture which promotes good engineering through taking care of it’s staff. This means early finishes on Friday, yearly trips abroad, annual bonuses, regular pay reviews, promoting autonomy and collaboration amongst colleagues and ensuring stability for everyone through organic growth.

What will I be doing?
If you were to join this 20-person business, you’ll play an important role in the design and development of gas detection technologies. Working within the R&D team, your focus will be on architecting and creating cutting-edge hardware for portable and fixed industrial gas detectors, with applications in hazardous locations. You’ll contribute to the entire lifecycle of product development, from concept through to production, using STM32 microcontrollers. Your responsibilities will include maintaining existing designs, identifying emerging technologies, and solving complex hardware issues. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure products are innovative, reliable, and meet international safety standards. Additionally, you’ll be involved in troubleshooting, prototyping, and working with advanced technologies such as transimpedance amplifiers, voltage regulation, and signal conditioning, making this an ideal role for someone who loves hands-on technical challenges and problem-solving

Where will I be doing it?
You’d join a business who have grown organically over the last 35 years, specializing in Photo Ionisation Detection (PID) sensors, gas detection instruments, and leak detectors. For over 35 years, this team has been developing innovative solutions that help safeguard workers, environments, and industries by detecting harmful gases and preventing accidents. This is all housed in a recently built R&D facility, with state-of-the-art equipment.
