Senior Electronics Engineer

Job description

Socode are proud to represent a long-standing client, a global automotive company providing hardware and engineering services. We are seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

The desired Electronics Hardware Engineer will have the following experience:

  • Extensive experience in electronic hardware design, particularly in embedded systems.
  • Strong background in automotive-grade circuit design, including one or more of the following:
    • H-bridges, solenoid, motor, and inductive load interfaces.
    • High and low-side MOSFET switches, current sensing, and measurement.
    • Communications interfaces such as SPI, I2C, CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Altium for schematic capture, SPICE for circuit simulation, and lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and signal generators.
  • Demonstrated ability to design for manufacture, reliability, and compliance with automotive standards, including EMC and environmental testing.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
What will they be doing?
  • Lead the architectural development of electronic systems to meet industry standards.
  • Design, analyse, and document circuits, including power supplies, analog/digital interfaces, and microcontrollers.
  • Debug, verify, and validate designs through rigorous testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in both nationally and internationally.
  • Create comprehensive documentation to support the long-term maintenance of designs.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, ensuring alignment with best practices.
