Machine Learning Engineer | Contract | Fully Remote

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join a confidential project with a MENA government agency. This is a fully remote position where you will work alongside a talented, multi-disciplinary team to design, implement, and optimize advanced machine learning solutions for a sensitive, high-stakes initiative. Due to the nature of the project, successful candidates must be willing to undergo rigorous security checks and adhere to strict confidentiality agreements.

The role will start in January. 

Responsibilities
:
  • Develop and implement ML models: Work on cutting-edge machine learning algorithms, from concept to deployment, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
  • Data Processing and Preparation: Work with large datasets, preprocessing, and feature engineering to build clean, effective inputs for models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work with data scientists, software engineers, and government officials to understand requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Optimization and scalability: Continuously optimize models for performance, scalability, and efficiency in real-world applications.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay on top of the latest trends in AI and machine learning to bring innovative solutions to the project.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure all work aligns with the highest standards of security, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. Ph.D. is a plus.
  • Strong experience in Machine Learning (supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, NLP, etc.), with a solid portfolio of projects.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and experience with machine learning libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, etc.).
  • Expertise in data engineering and handling complex datasets for model training.
  • Familiarity with deployment tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Broad Machine Learning Experince across a variety of applications and environments is essential 
  • Experience in working on sensitive or classified projects (or a demonstrated understanding of security protocols).
  • Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in government or defense sector projects.
  • Familiarity with data privacy laws and regulations.
  • Experience with distributed computing and big data technologies.
  • Advanced certifications in Machine Learning, Data Science, or related fields.
