Lead RF Engineer

I'm working with a leading RF development business in Cambridge to hire another RF Engineer into the team. I have placed the other four engineers for them and it's a great environment to be a part of!

So, what does the role involve?
Working with a specialised team, you will play a key part in designing, testing, and delivering advanced RF technical solutions across various products. The role offers the chance to explore different aspects of electronics and broaden your expertise as part of this growing team.

Sounds interesting, what experience should I have?
Ideally, experience in system design, testing, and integration. You should have strong problem-solving abilities, solid communication skills, and the capacity to lead technical initiatives. A background in electronics design and a proven ability to work effectively within a team are essential, as is the ability to guide and support less experienced colleagues.

Okay, this sounds like a lead role... What other aspects are important?
Good question, collaboration with other teams is very important here with a focus on helping define and implement technical solutions, ensuring high-quality product performance. You'll also contribute to the development of new processes and systems, as well as working closely with other departments to meet project goals. Responsibilities include design review, documentation, technical support, and mentoring.

Good stuff! What do I need to hit the ground running?
  • A relevant technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong background in electronics and system design, including experience with advanced simulation tools.
  • Several years of hands-on experience in product development and problem-solving in a technical environment.
Preferred Skills?
  • Experience with communication systems, RF design, and various technical protocols is highly valued.
  • The ability to work independently and contribute innovative ideas to ongoing projects.
  • A solid understanding of compliance standards and industry best practices.
