Integrations Architect
Location: London, Bristol and Manchester
Salary: up to £75,000

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Integration Solutions: Develop and optimize integration solutions to support smooth data flow and process orchestration across multiple systems, applications, and platforms.
  • Middleware & Integration Platforms: Identify and implement middleware and integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Integration Services) to support communication between on-premise and cloud environments.
  • API Development: Design and manage APIs and microservices to establish secure and scalable integrations with internal and external systems.
  • Ensure System Interoperability: Use integration methods such as RESTful APIs, SOAP, messaging queues, and ESB to support seamless system connectivity.
  • Data Consistency: Create data mappings and transformations to maintain accuracy and synchronization across integrated systems, utilizing ETL processes.
  • Integration Standards: Develop and apply integration strategies and best practices that prioritize security, scalability, and cost-efficiency while meeting client needs.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with business leaders, IT, and development teams to identify integration requirements, document solutions, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Security & Compliance: Incorporate security measures into integration designs to protect data and adhere to regulations like GDPR and HIPAA.
  • Documentation & Support: Maintain detailed documentation of integration solutions and provide training and guidance to teams as needed.
What We're Looking For:
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and experience designing integration solutions.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Over 3 years of experience in integration architecture, system, or software design, with a specialization in enterprise-level integrations.
  • Proven expertise in using integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Integration Services, IBM Integration Bus, or similar technologies.
  • Strong background in API design and management, with hands-on experience in REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and related protocols.
  • Skilled in middleware technologies and message brokers like Kafka and RabbitMQ, as well as ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) architectures.
  • Proficient in integration patterns, including publish/subscribe, message queuing, event-driven architectures, and orchestration/choreography patterns.
  • Practical experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud integration strategies.
  • Knowledgeable in data formats and standards (e.g., XML, JSON, EDIFACT) and experienced with ETL processes.
  • Familiar with microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing architectures.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, ensuring the design of effective, scalable, and secure integration solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work productively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Skilled in prioritizing tasks, managing multiple projects, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
