High Speed Digital Design Engineer (£65,000 - £90,000)

Job description

What’s in it for me?
This is an opportunity to join an established telecommunications company where you'll be working on improving existing products, while also working closely with the R&D team in order to develop the next generation of critical communication devices.

You’ll come to grow with the business, working on new technology from initial concept all the way through to production and manufacturing. The Electronics Engineers are predominantly working on-site, but flexibility can be provided if your current duties can be done remotely, just in case you need to work from home - not to mention you'll get a half day every Friday!

What will I be doing?
You’ll be driving developing RF and cellular products, working on high-speed digital designs. Additionally, perform compliance testing, debugging. Ensure DFM and DFT for high-volume manufacturing. It’s a broad role, as they’re a smaller business, which means you won’t be pigeonholed into one area of technology. You’ll be familiar with using Altium for schematics capture and PCB Design.
What do I need to be successful
- Discreet Component level design
- High Speed Design and interfaces: USB3, PCIe, Gigabit Ethernet, DDR
- PCB Layout and design constraints
- Signal and Power Integrity
- Hyperlynx/Sigrity or similar
- EMC/ESD compliance
- DFM and DFT
