Title: Low Code Architect
Contract: Permanent
Location: London preferred, would consider Manchester, Bristol, Cambridge, Edinburgh or Belfast

Are you a highly skilled Low Code Architect looking to join a global consultancy?
 In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of low-code solutions that streamline business processes and deliver high-impact solutions to meet business and technical needs. You will work closely with both technical and non-technical teams, ensuring that low-code platforms are leveraged to their full potential while maintaining scalability, security, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement a low-code architecture strategy that aligns IT and business objectives.
  • Develop low-code solutions that support business processes while ensuring scalability, security, and sustainability.
  • Define and document best practices, guidelines, and standards to ensure consistency across the low-code development lifecycle.
  • Work with business leaders and IT teams to understand business needs and challenges, translating them into effective low-code solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure the low-code solutions meet current and future business requirements.
  • Provide guidance and consultation to project teams on low-code development, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Develop and maintain a technology roadmap for low-code solutions that align with business strategy and long-term goals.
  • Evaluate emerging trends in low-code development and assess their potential impact on the organization.
  • Design low-code solutions for specific initiatives, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with the overall enterprise architecture.
  • Establish and enforce governance processes for low-code platforms to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Regularly evaluate low-code solutions for alignment with architectural standards and governance models.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and effectiveness of low-code initiatives.
  • Identify potential technology risks associated with low-code platforms and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Conduct assessments to uncover areas for improvement, cost reduction, and increased efficiency in low-code applications.
  • Work with cybersecurity teams to ensure low-code solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance regulations.
  • Design and implement data architectures that support integration across systems and data sources in low-code solutions.
  • Ensure that low-code applications support enterprise-wide analytics, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Define and enforce data governance policies to maintain high data quality, security, and compliance across low-code applications.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for low-code solutions, including design models, standards, and architecture guidelines.
  • Regularly communicate the status, risks, and outcomes of low-code initiatives to senior leadership.
  • Provide training and guidance to development teams to ensure adherence to best practices and enterprise standards in low-code solutions.
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3-5 years in architecture roles focused on low-code solutions.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing low-code architectures in complex, enterprise environments.
  • Experience with business, application, data, and technology architectures, particularly in the context of low-code development platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of low-code platforms (e.g., OutSystems, Mendix, Appian, or similar).
  • Proficiency in architectural modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Sparx, or similar).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and integration technologies (APIs, SOA, microservices).
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying challenges and delivering innovative solutions.
