Job description
Lead Mechanical Engineer – Space Technology
Space: vast, uncharted, and full of infinite possibilities. Whether it’s making the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs, expanding the bridge of the USS Enterprise for Captain Kirk, or more realistically, building cutting-edge orbital rockets, this is your chance to be part of something extraordinary.
SoCode Engineering is partnering with a forward-thinking start-up in Cambridge that’s set to redefine space technology. This ambitious company is on track to become a global leader in its niche, with plans to launch its first product into orbit by 2026.
As Lead Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading and mentoring a team of five engineers. You’ll balance hands-on design work, technical leadership, and people management to drive innovation and excellence. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with industry giants like SpaceX, the European Space Agency, and the Ministry of Defence.
