Lead FPGA Engineer

Location: Luton
Working Environment: Strictly 4 Days On-Site
Salary: Up to £100,000

The company is a globally established consultancy, providing end-to-end engineering solutions to
a wide array of industries. Following continued success with one of their largest accounts, they
are hiring for a Lead FPGA Engineer to join the team and work on an aerospace radar project.

As Lead FPGA Engineer, you will lead the engineering aspects of the FPGA project or product line,
providing the team with clear expectations of the engineering outcomes and ensuring they are
delivered in a timely manner. This role involves close collaboration with the Project Engineering
Manager or Project Manager to define work packages for the team members, whilst also ensuring
they are kept informed of the engineering status.

Key Requirements:
  • 10 years’ experience developing FPGAs using VHDL, Verilog or System Verilog.
  • Experience working across the entire FPGA design cycle.
  • Experience with High-Speed Serial protocols and implementations.
  • Experience in management and delivery of projects.
  • Commercial & business awareness.

Desired, but not essential:
  • Development of real-time, embedded, safety-critical FPGA, preferably in accordance with RTCA/DO-254 DAL A/B or below
  • Development and certification of airborne equipment
  • New Product Introduction experience
  • Independent verification using System Verilog / UVM
  • Experience of embedded processor cores (e.g. ARM) in FPGA designs
