Director of Market Development – largely remote – base salary £80 - £90k, OTE up to c.£200k
 
A leader in manufacturing products that helps thousands of customers achieve mission-critical objectives has partnered with SoCode in find their next Director of Market Development.

The successful candidate will play an integral role in defining and delivering effective growth strategies, becoming a key stakeholder in shaping the trajectory of the entire companies’ product portfolio.

Due to nature of the role/industry all candidates will need to be capable of holding UK Security Clearance.
 
What are the day to day responsibilities?
  • Contributing to the medium term (12 to 24 months) and long term (24-48 months) product vision and strategy through an understanding of market trends and requirements
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and customer service, to ensure successful product launches and market adoption to secure defined growth
  • Leading the identification, engagement and delivery of products and systems into systems integrators and platform providers.
  • Defining the market requirements for new products and enhancements to existing products
  • Conducting market research to identify customer needs and emerging industry trends.
  • Engaging with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback and incorporate it into product improvement plans.
  • Conducting market research to identify competitor strengths and weaknesses
  • Attending global events to act as the techno-commercial point of contact in support of sales
 
What skills/attributes can I bring to this role?
  • Possess strategic thinking and analytical skills coupled with strong commercial acumen
  • Possess the ability to gather and interpret market intelligence, customer feedback, and user data. Present evidence-based recommendations that resonate with target audiences and meet market needs.
  • An ability to articulate the vision, strategy, and product value propositions to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience of negotiating, influencing, and building consensus to drive product initiatives forward.
 
This exciting role requires 25% + travel – with expenses fully covered
