Alex Anderson

​​Alex joined the company in September 2024 as part of our Graduate Scheme.

"I am a Trainee Recruitment Consultant learning each market, and started this September. I was very interested in recruitment whilst studying at university, and I got in contact with a friend who I used to play tennis with, which then led me to meeting his friend, Managing Consultant Alex Flory, where I fell in love with the company and knew I had to work here. SoCode has a buzzing atmosphere and a great work environment where everyone is encouraged to improve and progress in the business.

I grew up in a small village just outside of Cambridgeshire. My parents are two people who have impacted me as they are both very hardworking, bringing me up to respect everyone and work hard. I also love sport, which I have played and watched since I was very young (support Liverpool...)."

What advice would you give someone looking to get into recruitment?

"If you are looking to get into recruitment, do it, there is a great environment and great pay."

What inspires you?

"I as well as many others are inspired by the thought of money and what that money can buy you, like for example my dream car is a 911 Porsche turbo which would only be available with this desired wage."

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

"When I was younger, I had always dreamed of going into MI5 or MI6, but I decided to go to university instead, and kind of fell into recruitment."

Where would we find you outside of work?

"I play a vast range of sports, like football, tennis and golf, and enjoy going out with my friends. I find having a good balance of work life and social life works well for me."
