Are you ready to lead the charge in the exciting world of wearable technology? As a Project Manager for electronic products utilizing radio frequencies, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation, transforming ideas into market-ready products.

In this role, you will oversee multiple complex projects, delivering essential product solutions from development through to manufacturing handover, all while adhering to demanding schedules and budgets for critical customer applications. You will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of business solutions that integrate intricate electrical and mechanical components.

As a Project Manager, you should bring at least 5 years of experience managing complex projects, preferably within the mobile communications sector or a similarly technical environment. Your background should demonstrate a proven ability to manage projects involving highly integrated RF, electrical, and mechanical hardware products.

Day to Day:
  • Planning, Management, and leadership of multiple complex projects
 
  • Manage regular project meetings, ensuring accountability of team members and individuals in the wider business
 
  • Ensure approaches/techniques are used for building high-performing teams, maintaining good team morale and a high level of operating efficiency
 
  • Ensure personal and team adherence to defined project management processes
 
  • Capture and manage project risks and opportunities with appropriate planning of mitigations
 
  • Communicate with stakeholders, ensuring an appropriate escalation of risks and issues
 
  • Negotiate the availability of project resources with Resource Managers and other Project Managers, ensuring smoothed and optimised resource utilisation
 
  • Work in partnership with Senior Technical Leads / Architects and Product Managers to deliver industry leading solutions into volume production
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
 
  • Project management training at a professional level, with recognized certification such as IPMA, APM, PRINCE2, IPM, or an equivalent qualification.
Experience and Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience leading multi-disciplinary teams on complex product development projects, using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
 
  • Proficient in working with Statements of Work and Procurement Specifications, collaborating with external design and manufacturing partners to meet both technical and commercial goals.
 
  • Broad understanding of product development practices across electronics, mechanical systems, manufacturing, and testing, ensuring best practices in design and development.
 
  • Skilled in documenting project management processes, with the ability to contribute to the refinement and enhancement of existing procedures.
Additional desired skills include experience delivering complex manufacturing test solutions and working with wireless audio and related accessories. Familiarity with managing externally sub-contracted work packages is also valuable, along with knowledge of LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and TETRA technologies.
